How do I embed video in my post?
There is a detailed post with an example on embedding video and mp3 audio, simply search Topics for "YouTube Video" and you will find it. Basically to embed a YouTube video or an mp3 file to be directly playable from within a post, simply add a bbcode link and 206Proof will do the rest. Example Code: [url=http:www.youtubeurl.com/vidid=etc]check out this cool video[/url]. Your link will automatically be transformed into playable media.
What are whispers?
We use Whispers in place of the Private Messages most forums use. Instead of Private Messaging someone in the actual discussion you can whisper your comments to them. Your comments appear in the discussion that they are pertaining to. Only you and the person you whispered to can see the messages. Whispers are identified by different colored backgrounds. You can access all of your whispered messages from the Discussion Filters menu.
Why is my Icon showing wierd?
If your Icon is showing only part of the image it is likely due to the fact that your image is too large for the specs AND you are linking to it via an external server such ImageShack. Linked pictures will NOT resize - they will simply be cropped ( you can resize them using an image editor such as photoshop ). If you use the Account Pictures option (in your account panel) to upload your images to the 206Proof server, they WILL automatically resize to the proper dimensions. Icons should be 60px by 60px and Account Pictures 280px by 280px. If you uploaded your picture correctly and it is not showing please email support {at} 206proof.com.
What can I do if I forgot my password?
You can reset your password by clicking on the Sign In link in the main menu. This will take you to the sign in screen where you can click on a Forgot Password link. Clicking on this will take you through the few steps to reset your password. IE6 users may experience mild display issues. We recommend you download Firefox immediately. Just say NO to bad browsers.
